I bought 3 polishes: Blue My Mind, Bella's Choice, and Matte top coat. The opaque nail polishes retail for $4.95 and the Matte polish retails for $3.95. Both can be purchased in-store! Even though online shopping isn't set up for the US market yet, you can browse around. Only the opaque nail polishes are available for viewing online at H&M's website !
- Blue My Mind - $4.95
The name says it all. This polish is the ideal true blue shade. Perfect for all year round! The formula is smooth and the color intensity is perfect. If you are looking for a basic shiny blue without the glitter and shimmer overload, this is the polish for you.
- Bella's Choice - $4.95
I'm not sure if the name of this polish has anything to do with the mega movie hit Twilight's "Bella", but i love this color. Its more like a tiffany blue-ish green, seafoam color. Perfect for the spring!
- Matte Top Coat - $3.95
Everything around has matte finishes these days. Nail polishes, Car paint, Foundation, Lipsticks...everybody and everything is going Matte ! I must agree, I'm loving this trend. It's different and a nice change from the typical shiny, glossy, finish. In the pic, I used both H&M's polishes and China Glaze's Liquid Leather.
Overall, H&M opaque polishes are smooth, requires 2 coats for a nice finish, and matches the color intensity shown throughout the bottle. The polish was easy to apply, fast drying, and still looked nice days after application. The small, squared bottle fits well in your hand. (which is a plus for painting with the opposite hand ON THE OPPOSITE HAND...LOL) The small polish cap & brush allows you to steadily paint with perfection when brushing the polish on the nail. Although the 1/3 fl oz bottle does not give you much polish in volume, for $4.95 you wont feel bad for "trying" something new. However, I loved the polishes I've bought so far and I plan on buying more.
If you try H&M polishes after reading this post, please feel free to leave your feedback and share your experience...
